Common questions
Is my data backed up anywhere?
Not yet. All data is stored only on your device. If you delete the app or switch phones without transferring your data, your records won't carry over. Optional cloud backup is on the roadmap — it will always be your choice to turn on.
How accurate is the freeze mark decoder?
The decoder uses the official BLM Alpha Angle system to interpret the symbols. Results are accurate for standard BLM freeze marks applied after 1971. For official verification, always check the BLM Wild Horse and Burro Program.
Does Branded Mustang collect any of my information?
No. We collect nothing. No analytics, no crash reporting, no accounts. See the full Privacy Policy for details.
Can I use the app for horses other than BLM Mustangs?
The freeze mark decoder is specific to BLM-branded wild horses. But the profile and story timeline work for any horse — you can skip or leave the brand section blank if it doesn't apply.
